1. Installing the GPT Editor App

- Use this link to access the app in the Zendesk marketplace.
- Click on the 'Install' button located on the right side.
- Select the Zendesk instance where you want to install the app.
- Follow the redirection to your Zendesk Admin space. Make sure you have admin rights.
- Here, you can rename the app, but by default, it's labeled as "GPT Editor". Decide if you'd like to enable role or group restrictions.
- Finally, hit the 'Install' button.
2. Accessing the App
- Navigate to your agent workspace. This can be done by clicking on the icon with four squares at the top-right corner, and then choosing "Support".
- In the Support workspace, click the GPT Editor icon on the left after the settings symbol.
Note: If you have numerous apps installed, it might be hidden under the three dots at the lower left part of your screen. Click on this icon to proceed.
3. Creating a Knots account
- On the Settings page, go to "Login" to create a new account or log in if you are already a Knots customer.
4. Creating a new prompt
To create a new prompt for the app that will appear as an option in the dropdown menu of the ticket editor, follow these steps:
- Enter a name for the prompt. This name will appear in the dropdown menu of the ticket editor.
- Draft the text of the prompt, specifying what it should achieve. Include as many details as possible for better results.

Optional Settings:
- Show Default Prompts for Agents: If you want to use predefined prompts (Expand, Make more friendly, Make more formal), toggle the switch to activate this feature.

Use Text from Agents' Editor with the Prompt: Toggle this setting to determine if the prompt should work with text already in the editor.
- Enabled: The text from the editor will be used together with the prompt.
- Disabled: Only the prompt will be used to generate content, without the text from the editor.

After configuring the prompt, click Save Settings.

The module will take about one minute to activate. You will receive an email notification when it is ready. Once activated, the GPT Editor icon will appear in the text editor.
- To create another prompt, click "+ New Prompt" at the bottom left.
5. Using the GPT Editor
Once the module is active, follow these steps to use the GPT Editor:
- Find the GPT Editor icon in the text editor toolbar and click on it.
- Open the dropdown menu and select the prompt you want to use.
- Decide whether to place the generated text as new content or append it to existing content.
